Präg is a district of Todtnau in the district of Lörrach in Baden-Württemberg .

With its 1363 ha, Präg, with the Herrenschwand district , is the largest district in the city of Todtnau in terms of area. In addition to Herrenschwand, Präg consists of the villages of Hinterdorf and Vorderdorf , the Präger Boden farm , the Weissenbach house and the Wüstung Castle .

The first written records about the place can be found in the 14th century. At that time one comes across the name Bregga , which, as the chronicler writes, is of Celtic origin and is called Bergbach - the village on the mountain stream. It can be assumed that the place arose through the settlement of individual agricultural farms.

Agriculture and forestry have played the dominant role in the history of Präg, while today agriculture is increasingly being pursued as a sideline and numerous residents commute to the industrial areas of the Wiesental .

On April 1, 1974, Präg was incorporated into Todtnau.
