Test equipment monitoring
As part of the quality management standard ISO 9001, quality-relevant test equipment must be subject to regular monitoring. The German Society for Quality (DGQ) defines this as the totality of the activities of calibration , adjustment , verification and maintenance of test equipment and test aids. This monitoring is carried out using the example of a boundary throat gauge, for example by comparing it with a gauge block or by determining a measured value with a measuring device of higher accuracy. Deviations determined in this way are documented with the aid of calibration certificates. A sticker on the test equipment provides information about when the next monitoring is due. Decision criteria for the calibration tolerance and the test interval include the place of use and the frequency of use of the test equipment, taking into account the risk that a faulty test with this test equipment can cause.
