Praseodymium (III) iodide (PrI ₃ ) is a salt of the rare earth metal praseodymium with hydrogen iodide . It forms orthorhombic crystals that are hygroscopic . It crystallizes in the PuBr ₃ type ( space group Cmcm (space group no. 63) with a = 4.3281 (6) Å , b = 14.003 (6) Å and c = 9.988 (3) Å).
