Preißhof is a part of the municipality Weiding in the Upper Palatinate district of Schwandorf in Bavaria .

Geographical location

The ten buildings in the hamlet of Preißhof are located on the plateau between Schönsee and Weiding on State Road 2154 .

history

The first mention of Preißhof from 1806: After the fire of 1746 in Weiding, the houses that had previously been on parish property were moved to Preißhof . After a storm on the night of April 29th to 30th, 1865, money was collected to repair the damage. This money was used to repair the Preißhof- Muggenthal community link .

As of March 23, 1913 (Easter), Preißhof was listed as part of the Weiding parish with 4 houses and 18 residents. On December 31, 1990, Preißhof had 33 residents and belonged to the parish of Weiding.

Culture and sights

Between Preißhof and Weiding, above State Road 2154, stands the Setterl Chapel, built from quarry stones in 1871.
