Presto (born October 1, 1992 in Oranienburg , real name Martin Wenzel ) is a German rapper from Berlin, who gained notable fame primarily through his participation in rap on Wednesday .

Career

At the age of 16 he tried his hand at regional hip-hop battles as a freestyle rapper .

In 2011 he first took part in the battle rap event Rap on Wednesday and became the youngest king of rap on Wednesday history in the second season. In the following years Presto devoted himself intensively to music and released more and more free tracks. In 2015 he reached the fourth final of the video battle tournament by rappers.in and was also in the final of the #Raptags Contest by Universal & Chapter ONE .

On June 10, 2016 Presto released his first EP entitled "Gute Deutsche Rap" via RecordJet . The songs Jutebeutelswag , Kein Limit and Allrounder were released as singles and published on the platforms of HipHop.de and Rap Am Wednesday.TV. The productions were contributed by Aside and Scaletta. In the same year Presto played live gigs in Berlin, Bamberg and Nuremberg.

The mixtape Endorphine was released on August 18, 2017 ! about IgrooveNext . The songs don't do this! , Run! (Aubameyang) , comet! and Barrio were released as singles. The production comes from Aside, ZMY Da Beat, Sousa and Vecz. The guests on the mixtape included Silla , Julian Williams , Thomas Glenz, SIAD & Stui Crank.

Parallel to the production phase on his own mixtape, Presto was active as a songwriter for the first time as a songwriter for the Silla album Blockchef and also made a guest contribution to the single "Barrio". The Berliner was also often seen as a support act at Silla's live gigs. Towards the end of the year Presto released together with SIAD and Stui Crank a five-track collaboration EP called Dangerous Ehrlich , which was produced by ZMY Da Beat. Supreme Hoodie was released as the only single.

In 2018 Presto withdrew a little musically to work on new music. However, he was heard as a feature part on the single Bei Dir von Ansen.
