Priit Pajusaar

Priit Pajusaar (born April 6, 1964 in Tallinn , Estonian SSR ) is an Estonian music producer , pop composer and arranger .

life and work

Priit Pajusaar studied trumpet at the renowned Tallinn Music High School. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music with a degree in choral conducting. He initially worked as an orchestrant at the Estonia Opera and Concert Hall in Tallinn and as a choir director and music teacher. He has been working in the music business since 1995.

Pajusaar has been working closely with the Estonian composer Glen Pilvre since 1996 . Pajusaar has composed the Estonian final for the Eurovision Song Contest four times : 1996 Kaelakee hääl (5th place), 1999 Diamond of Night (6th place), 2004 Tii (eliminated in the semifinals) and 2008 Leto svet (eliminated in the semifinals). Except in 2002, he took part in all Estonian qualifications for the Eurovision Song Contest with compositions .

Pajusaar has written a variety of pop pieces and hits, but also numerous children's songs. Since 2008 his children's musical Detektiiv Lotte (based on a libretto by Janno Põldmaa and Heiki Ernits with lyrics by Leelo Tungal ) has been performed in Estonia .

Private life

Priit Pajusaar has three daughters.
