The Prinz-Leopold-Kaserne in Regensburg was a barracks of the army of the Bundeswehr . It is located in the Kasernenviertel district in the southeast of the city. The entire site of the barracks has a size of 153,000 m². In the course of the abandonment of the site and the withdrawal or dissolution of the troops, the property is now for sale by the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks . The address of the barracks is: Zeißstr. 4, 93053 Regensburg.

The Prinz-Leopold-Kaserne was built in the 1930s when the Wehrmacht was arming. After 1945 it was first used by the US Army and then by the German Armed Forces until 2008/09, mainly as a location for numerous logistics units.

In the course of the abandonment of the site and the withdrawal or dissolution of the troops, the property is now for sale by the Federal Agency for Real Estate Tasks .

At the height of the KFOR mission, the US Army operated a “Convoi Support Center (CSC)” in the barracks, which was also signposted from the Burgweinting motorway junction. All material was flown in from the USA via Ramstein and transported overland with heavy goods vehicles to Kosovo. There was a planned stopover in Regensburg, which mainly served to sleep the drivers, refueling and urgent maintenance work. A turnover was not carried out in the barracks.
