Priscilla Morgan

Priscilla Morgan (* 1934 in Essex , England ) is a British theater and film actress .

Life

Priscilla Morgan was in 1934 in the English county of Essex born. At the age of 16 she gained her first stage experience at the Old Vic Theater in London . In 1954 she appeared as a housemaid Doreen next to Margaret Lockwood in Terence Rattigan's Separate Tables in London's West End for the first time . In 1956 she stood for the first time in front of the camera for the television program Lilli Palmer Theater . Two years later she was again in the role of Doreen, alongside Deborah Kerr , Rita Hayworth , David Niven and Burt Lancaster in Separate Tables ( Separate Tables , 1958), an adaptation of Rattigan's play, for the first time on the big screen to see. In 1959 she played Hermia in a British television adaptation of William Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream ( A Midsummer Night's Dream ) alongside Charles Laughton , Albert Finney , Ian Holm and Vanessa Redgrave . In 1962 she was also used in six episodes of Benny Hill's sketch series . Other roles in British television series followed, including the crime series The Man with the Suitcase ( Man in a Suitcase , 1967). In a five-part BBC film version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice ( Pride and Prejudice ), she was in 1980 can also be seen in the role of Mrs. Bennet. In 1987 she retired from the film business.

She has been married to actor Clive Dunn since 1959 , with whom she has two daughters, Polly and Jessica. They live together in the Algarve , where Morgan has also worked as a theater director on several occasions.
