Probyn Vivian Marsh

Probyn Vivian Marsh (born August 11, 1928 in Gayle , Saint Mary Parish ) is a retired Jamaican diplomat .

Life

Probyn Vivian Marsh is the son of Mabel Jane Wallace and Robert Vivian Marsh. He attended Kingston College's Gayle School Elementary School, Queen's College, Cambridge, UK, and received a Masters from Columbia University in 1954 . In 1952 he trained as a diplomat for the colonial authorities, in 1961 he was awarded a diploma in international relations . He speaks French, Spanish. He is married to Christine and they have a daughter.

From 1970 to 1972 he was Deputy Permanent Representative of the Jamaican Government to the United Nations Office in Geneva . From 1972 to 1975 he was ambassador to Paris , where he also resided, and was also accredited as ambassador to Bern.
