The Ambassador in Geneva regularly at the Federal Council of Switzerland , the President of the Italian Republic , the President of Austria , as permanent representative of the Jamaican Government to the United Nations Office at Geneva , at the World Trade Organization , in which the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization , the Vienna International Center as well as accredited by the International Atomic Energy Agency .

The Swiss Federal Council recognized the Jamaican government quickly after independence in 1962 and has maintained diplomatic relations ever since. Before 1990, the Geneva Ambassador was also accredited in Belgrade .
