Prochlorperazine is a dopamine receptor - antagonist from the group of phenothiazines , predominantly nausea and vomiting (as antiemetic ) and migraine , rarer than antipsychotic is used.

Indications

Prochlorperazine is used as an anti-emetic to treat nausea and vomiting , as a neuroleptic to treat schizophrenia and anxiety disorders, and to treat migraines .

Side effects and interactions

For example, the drug must not be used at the same time as astemizole , cisapride and terfenadine .
