action

It is curiosity that brings Tullio and his friends together with Professor Bantini. The arrival of the stranger with the mysterious boxes in the small Italian coastal village causes a stir, and when the old man's cap is washed up, the boys decide to take care of the stranger. On a small island they discover him and his secret at the same time: Professor Bantini has built an airplane that is powered like a bicycle with a "pedal motor". And the best thing about it is: the flying machine works! Unfortunately, the professor is unlucky when landing and therefore urgently needs four meters of silk for repairs. The boys enthusiastically offer him their help and “get” the silk. However, when the police arrested the good professor on suspicion of stealing watches, his little helpers had to confess that they had forgotten to pay for the silk. But everything turns out well: The real watch thief is caught by the boys, the matter with the silk is put in order and - at the end of the day - even little Lauretta is allowed to fly in Professor Bantini's flying machine.

Reviews

Ten years after the making of the film, the Protestant film observer summarized his criticism as follows: “The strip, kept simple in the plot and in the characters, in which the drawing of the childish characters is neglected, only brings (sometimes boring) entertainment for the youngest years among film fans. ”The film service comes to a similar assessment :“ Cheerful children's film, which is rather superficial in the drawing of characters. - From 8.
