The Progress Group GmbH is a subsidiary of Progress Holding AG , an engineering holding company headquartered in Brixen ( Italy ). The group of companies specializes in the development and construction of machines and systems for the precast concrete industry. It consists of the subsidiaries EBAWE Anlagentechnik GmbH , Progress Maschinen & Automation AG, Tecnocom SpA, Echo Precast Engineering NV, Ultra-Span Technologies Inc., Progress Software Development and Progress AG.

history

Progress AG was founded in 1961 as the forerunner of today's corporate group. In the first few years, the production of bricks was the company's main business area. In 1964, Progress developed the first machine for the production of lattice girders. This was also the beginning of mechanical engineering .

In the 1970s, the production of precast floor slabs was started. In 1976 the first self-developed plant for the production of brick ceilings was sold. In the 1980s, the new developments in mechanical engineering were continued with a wire straightening machine with new straightening technology. In addition, the first ceiling circulation system in Italy, developed and built by the company's own mechanical engineering department, was put into operation in 1989. From the 1990s onwards, mechanical engineering increasingly focused on new technologies and automation . At the end of the decade, the product portfolio of the mechanical engineering division was finally expanded from machines for processing reinforcing steel to mesh welding systems.

Group of companies

The mechanical engineering company EBAWE Anlagentechnik from Eilenburg near Leipzig became the first subsidiary of Progress AG in 1998 . The two companies had previously worked together on several major projects. With the conversion of the original Progress AG into a holding company and the separation of the two branches of business, two further subsidiaries were created: Progress for the construction sector and Progress Maschinen & Automation for the mechanical engineering business. In 2010 Tecnocom from Udine ( Italy ), Echo Precast Engineering from Houthalen ( Belgium ) in 2012 and Ultra-Span Technologies from Winnipeg ( Canada ) in 2013 were included in Progress Holding. The Progress Group has had its own office and meeting rooms in The Squaire office building at Frankfurt Airport since 2015 . In 2016, the subsidiary Progress Software Development (PSD) was founded, which develops industry-specific MES and ERP systems.

Today the group of companies is a full-range supplier of machines and systems for the precast concrete industry. The main sales markets include Central and Western Europe, the Middle East and Southeast Asia.

The product range includes pallet circulation systems and formwork systems for the precast concrete industry, machines and systems for processing reinforcing steel and for the production of prestressed precast concrete elements, as well as suitable software solutions. In addition, the subsidiary Progress produces precast concrete parts in its own factory and erects objects in solid construction.
