Protosingel is an honorary title given to Orthodox monk priests .
Originally, the term derives from Protosingel prothos and sing hellos from. Singelos comes from the expression " Synkellos ". This referred to the drawing together of a monastery cell in the old church . A singing hellos of the canon was according to the information 12 from the sixth ecumenical council , a cleric who lived and, near the bishop was his adviser.
