Puchucollo Alto is a country town in the La Paz department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Puchucollo Alto is the most populous village in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Laja in the province of Los Andes . The place is the central place of District 2 of the Municipio Laja and is located on the western edge of the El Alto metropolitan area .

Puchucollo Alto is located on the Bolivian plateau between the Andes mountain ranges of the Cordillera Occidental in the west and the Cordillera Central in the east. The region's climate is typical of the time of day , with average temperatures fluctuating more during the day than during the year.

The mean annual temperature of Viacha is just under 9 ° C, the annual precipitation is around 600 mm (see Viacha climate diagram).
