Puffy AmiYumi

Puffy (proper spelling PUFFY ) or Puffy AmiYumi as due to legal conflicts with Sean "Puffy" Combs in the United States to be named, is a Japanese pop - duo .

Ami Onuki (born 1973), whose nickname is "Sue", and Yumi Yoshimura (born 1975), called "Jane", were found by two different talent agencies and brought together in 1995. Their first release Asia no Junshin (アジアの純真) has sold a million copies and their success continued with more albums (14 million records sold in Japan).

In Europe, however , the band is largely unknown. On German television, however, an animated series of the same name by Cartoon Network is running , the main characters of which are supposed to represent the two and in the opening and closing credits they can also be seen in human form.

Puffy AmiYumi are also on the album The Body Acoustic by Cyndi Lauper with Girls Just Want To Have Fun represented, further they steered for Guitar Wolf -Tributealbum I Love Guitar Wolf Very Much a cover version of Can-Nana Fever in.

In 2010 PUFFY will give a concert in Hong Kong (September 23, 2010) and Taiwan (September 25, 2010) after 11 or even 12 years. A new CD is also planned, which will be titled "Kani to Tomoni Sarinu".
