The Punchbowl Cirque (English for bowl bowl ) is a mountain kettle in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Allan Hills, it is half a mile southwest of Roscolyn Tor in the southern part of Shipton Ridge .
The mountain basin was explored in 1964 by a team who worked in the Allan Hills as part of the New Zealand Antarctic Research Program and gave it its descriptive name.
