Punta Aburto (in Argentina Punta Remedios ) is a headland in the southwest of the Liard Island in the archipelago of the Adelaide and Biscoe Islands off the Loubet coast of Graham Land on the Antarctic Peninsula . It protrudes into the north-central part of the Hanusse Bay .
Chilean scientists named it after the Chilean biologist Luis Eduardo Aburto Contreras from the Universidad de Concepción , participant of the 25th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1970–1971).
