Punta Haydée is a headland in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . On the east side of Cape Shirreff , the northern branch of the John Paul II peninsula , it is located between Playa Daniel in the north and Playa Marko in the south.
Scientists of the 42nd Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1987–1988) named it after the biologist Haydée María Castillo Gutiérrez, who conducted studies here during this research trip .
