Punta La Caverna ( Spanish ) is a headland in the north of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located immediately south of Playa Bahamonde on the east side of Cape Shirreff .
Chilean scientists named it during the 45th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1990–1991) after the cave discovered not far from the headland .
