Putussibau is an Indonesian city on the island of Borneo . It is the capital of Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu in the province of Kalimantan Barat and has 28,782 inhabitants.
Due to its location in the sparsely populated interior of Borneo near the Danau Sentarum and Betung Kerihun national parks , Putussibau has a certain tourist significance.
Putussibau is located on the Kapuas , the longest river in Indonesia with a length of 1143 km. A large part of the population belongs to the Dayak .
