The Puxberg is a wooded knoll on the eastern ridge of the Pleschaitz , a mountain in Styria in the upper Murtal at the confluence of the Wölzer Bach in the Mur . The Puxberg reaches a height of 1486 m above sea level. A.
At the southern foot of the mountain is the Puxerloch with its two cave castle ruins and the village of Pux, which belongs to Frojach, and Pux Castle .
The province of Styria has the Puxberg as part of the protected landscape Pleschaitz - Puxberg reported.
The Puxer Auwald (also Puxerwald) on the left bank of the Mur between Frojach and Teufenbach is designated as a Natura 2000 area according to the Fauna-Flora-Habitat Directive .
