Pynda ( Greek Πύνδα ) is a municipality in the municipality of Pyli in the Greek region of Thessaly . Until the Kallikratis reform in 2011, he formed a community. The administrative seat of the municipality was in Stournareika . The name refers to the Pindos massif.

With an area of 166.219 km², Pydna is the second largest municipality in the municipality of Pyli. It lies on the border with the neighboring municipality of Argithea to the south . Adjacent parishes are Myrofyllo in the southwest, Neraida in the west, Ethikes in the north and Pyli in the east.

Administrative division

The municipality Pynda was formed on the occasion of the municipal reform in 1997 from the amalgamation of nine rural communities. As part of the 2010 administrative reform , this became one of seven municipal districts in the newly formed municipality of Pyli .
