Qairat Aitmuchambetuly Nurpejissow ( Kazakh Қайрат Айтмұхамбетұлы Нұрпейісов , Russian Кайрат Айтмухамбетович Нурпеисов Kairat Aitmuchambetowitsch Nurpeissow * 21st September 1957 in Galkino, Kazakh SSR ) is a Kazakh politician. He has been the Kazakh ambassador to Kyrgyzstan since August 2019 .

Life

Qairat Nurpeysov was born in 1957 in the village of Galkino in Pavlodar Oblast . He studied at the State Pedagogical Institute in Pavlodar , where in 1979 he obtained a degree in mathematics. In 1986 he graduated from the State Institute for Economics with a degree in economics.

After graduating from the Pedagogical Institute, he first worked in the railway depot of the station in Pavlodar, before becoming head secretary of the Komsomol city ​​committee in Yermak from 1979 to 1980 . He then did two years of military service in the Soviet army . After that he held various positions until 1990, including deputy head of the state finance and tax administration in Pavlodar. For the next eight years he was deputy head and then head of the tax administration and chairman of the Pavlodar Oblast Tax Committee. In July 1998 he became Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade. He held this post until March of the following year, when he became Deputy Minister of State Revenue. In March 2003 he was appointed mayor of the city of Pavlodar and on June 14, 2003 he was appointed Äkim (governor) of the Pavlodar region. He held this position for almost five years, was then appointed Deputy Minister of Finance of Kazakhstan on October 1, 2008 and just two weeks later Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration. Between August 2009 and July 2011 he was Chairman of the Public Service Agency and from February 2012 to September 2013 he worked as an employee of the Kazakh Senate . Since September 4, 2013 he has been Head of the Representation of the President in the Kazakh Parliament. He was released from this post in July 2019.

Nurpeysov has been the Kazakh ambassador to Kyrgyzstan since August 26, 2019 .
