Qala Panja (also Qila-e Panja, Qila-e Panjeh, Kila Punja, Kala Panja; Persian قلعه بنج) is a village in the Wakhan Corridor in the far northeast of Afghanistan .

It belongs to the Wakhan Administrative District in Badakhshan Province .

It is 83 km from Ishkashim at the entrance of the Wakhan Corridor and is at an altitude of 2,820  m at a safe distance from Pyanj , which arises from the confluence of the Pamir and Wakhan rivers 34 km above the village .

In 2002 there were 72 households with 640 inhabitants in the village.

Near the village is the former hunting lodge of Mohammed Sahir Shah , the last king of Afghanistan.

While today Sarhad-e Broghil, about 115 km further in the Wahkan, is the last place inhabited all year round, during the times of the caravans Qala Panja was the last place where food and pack animals could be bought for the more than 300 km long way the Pamir to Tashkurgan in Sarikol or in Turkestan, today's Taxkorgan in Xinjiang, China .
