geography
Qeparo lies at the end of a long stretch of coast and borders a small peninsula in the west, and the Mali i Gjivlashit range of hills in the east . The fortress of Porto Palermo , which lies on a small peninsula, belongs to the village area.
Both village centers are bordered by two streams to the west and east. The plain west of Qeparo is lightly forested, while that in the east near Borsh is mostly used for agriculture.
In Qeparo there is a church from 1760 dedicated to St. Dimitrius .
economy
For centuries the cultivation of olive trees has played an important role in Qeparo and the region . In the groves west of the village in the valley, fruits are collected by hand and either sold raw or processed into olive oil .
For some years now, tourism has also become an important direct and indirect employer. Individual hotels and inns as well as many restaurants were built (see article Tourism in Albania ).
