Qi Dakai (born May 23, 1987 ) is a Chinese hammer thrower .

Athletic career

Qi Dakai gained his first international experience at the Asian Championships 2009 in Guangzhou , where he finished eighth with 65.60 m. Four years later he won the bronze medal at the Asian Championships in Pune with 74.19 m behind the Tajiks Dilschod Nazarow and Ali Mohamed al-Zankawi from Kuwait. At the Asian Championships in 2015 in Wuhan he finished eighth with 65.49 m and reached 13th place at the Summer Universiade in Gwangju with 63.84 m. In 2018 he took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta for the first time , where he finished with a width of 66, 81 m sixth place.

In 2006 and 2012, Qi became the Chinese hammer throwing champion.
