Uğurca ( Kurmanji : Qorix) is a jesidisches village in the southeast of Turkey . The village is located about 9 km northeast of Beşiri in the Beşiri district of the same name in the Batman province . The place is located in Southeast Anatolia .
History and population
The original name of the village is Qorix. The villages were renamed as a result of the Turkishization of geographical names in Turkey . Uğurca is mostly an abandoned village today. The village had an exclusively Yazidi population.
According to the Siirt Province Yearbook of 1973, 271 people lived in the village. In 2009 and 2012 3 families lived in the village.
