Beşiri ( Kurdish : Qubîn ) is a district town and a district in Southeast Anatolia . On May 18, 1990, Beşiri County moved from Siirt Province to the newly established Batman Province .

The district has almost 30,000 inhabitants, around five percent of the provincial population. The district town ( Merkez ) is home to around 30 percent of the district's population. İkiköprü with 3,713 inhabitants is another city ( Belde ), there are also 53 villages ( Köy ), three of which have over 1,000 inhabitants: Beşpınar (1,716), Doğankavak (1,476) and Yenipınar (1,179). The average population of the villages is 329 people.

Most of the people living in the region are Kurds , most of them speak Kurdish . A religious minority are the Yazidis are.

The district is flat and lies at an altitude of approx. 680 m. The only river in the district ( Garzan çayı ) flows into the Tigris after crossing the district .

In September 2016, incumbent mayors Mustafa Öztürk and Dicle Erdem were replaced by a statutory order for the support of a terrorist organization by a state official. In the regional elections in March 2019, Saadet Partİsİ (SP) candidate Sait Karabulut won 41.45% of the vote.
