The Quiet Lake ( English for "calm lake") is a lake in the Canadian Yukon Territory .
Quiet Lake is 110 km east of Whitehorse between the Pelly Mountains in the east and the Big Salmon Range in the west. The lake expands in a north-south direction and has a length of 28 km. Its maximum width is around 3 km. The maximum water depth of the lake is 160 m. The lake, located at an altitude of 802 m , is drained by the Big Salmon River at its northern end. The Canol Road ( Yukon Highway 6 ) runs along the eastern shore of the lake. The Nisutlin River flows past the lake in a southerly direction at a distance of about 6 km east of the lake.
There are two state campsites at Quiet Lake. The lake is used as a starting point for canoe trips down the Big Salmon River to Carmacks .
Quiet Lake was named that way in 1887 by John McCormack, a prospector .
