Quincy Center is the name of a metro station of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in the center of Quincy in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It provides access to the Braintree branch of the line Red Line to commuter trains, the MBTA Commuter Rail and capeflyer .
history
The Quincy Center station was built in the Brutalist style and opened together with the North Quincy and Wollaston stations in 1971.

The underground station has three tracks, which are accessible via a central platform ( Red Line ) and a side platform ( Commuter Rail ).

The subway station is located at 1300 Hancock Street at Washington Street . It is completely barrier-free .
environment
There is a connection to 15 MBTA bus routes at the station. The car park above the station was closed on July 4, 2012 due to dilapidation; it is not planned to reopen.
