Wollaston is the name of a subway station owned by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) in the district of the same name in Quincy in the state of Massachusetts in the United States . It provides access to the Braintree branch of the line Red Line .
history
The Wollaston station was built in the style of brutalism and opened together with the North Quincy and Quincy Center stations in 1971.

The underground station has two tracks that are accessible via a central platform .
building
The subway station is at the intersection of Beale Street and Newport Avenue . It has not yet been renovated and is therefore the only station on the Red Line that is not barrier-free . The building has been the demolition of the elevated railways Atlantic Avenue Elevated , Charlestown Elevated , Washington Street Elevated and Causeway Elevated next to the stations Science Park , Malden Center , Charles / MGH , Beach Mont and Fields Corner one of the few remaining elevated subway stations of the MBTA.

There is a connection to two MBTA bus lines at the station, and there are also 30 parking spaces for bicycles and 550 park and ride parking spaces available for a fee . Eastern Nazarene College is approximately 0.5 mi (0.8 km ) away .
