Quinn K. Redeker

Quinn K. Redeker (born May 2, 1936 in Woodstock , Illinois ) is an American actor and screenwriter .

Life

Prior to his career in film and television, Redeker served in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Air Force . He began his acting career in the late 1950s. His teacher was Sanford Meisner . Since then, Redeker has mainly appeared in television series, including several soap operas such as Zeit der Sehnsucht .

For his work on the screenplay for Die durch die Hölle he was nominated for an Oscar in the category Best Original Screenplay in 1979 together with Deric Washburn , Michael Cimino and Louis Garfinkle . They also received a Writers Guild of America Award nomination . The film was his debut as a screenwriter, and more scripts followed in the 2000s.

As an actor, Quinn was nominated twice for the Daytime Emmy Award and in 1989 he won the Soap Opera Digest Award . In 1984 he was recognized at the Soapy Awards.

Redeker is the father of four children.
