Quiroga Ridge (English; Bulgarian хребет Кирога chrebet Kiroga ) is an undersea ridge in the False Bay of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It extends in an east-southeast-west-northwest orientation over a length of 2.2 km and at sea depths of 50 to 100 m between Ogosta Point on the Roschen Peninsula and the opposite Hurd Peninsula . It is the terminal moraine of the Huntress Glacier .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2012 after Victor Quiroga Martínez, captain of the Spanish research vessel Hespérides, which provided logistical support for Bulgarian Antarctic campaigns in the 1990s.
