The Ogosta Point (English; Bulgarian нос Огоста nos Ogosta ; in the United Kingdom Piedras Point , Spanish Punta Piedras ) is a headland in the south of Livingston Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 5.1 km north of Barnard Point , 4.35 km west of St. Methodius Peak and southwest of Inepta Cove in the center of Zagore Beach on the east bank of False Bay , also the west coast of the Roschen Peninsula . It marks the southwest boundary of the entrance to Inepta Cove.
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2002 after the Ogosta River in Bulgaria . The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee rendered 2003 1998 made by Spanish scientists designation into English. The further background of the latter designation is not known.
