Quodlibet (cabaret group)

Quodlibet ( Latin , in German: "any" or, in a sense, "what pleases") was a German quartet of music cabaret .

In the 1990s, the group was formed, consisting of the musician couple Carola and Eberhard Rink , TV journalist Martin Buchholz and initially Andreas Baumann and later Martin Moro in his place . Their programs combined music unterschiedlichster styles with poetry and forms of performing cabaret as cabaret , mime and clowning , mostly in relation to the Christian faith .

Produced by Hans-Werner Scharnowski , the music album of the same name was released in 1993, with which the group presented 14 musical titles from their stage show. The album met with a positive response in the Christian music scene, including from ARD journalist Andreas Malessa , so that five years later a second music album was released under the title Heiter bis folkig .

After ten years, the group broke up in the late 1990s to pursue individual career plans.
