history
Rägelin was first mentioned in a document in 1238. The place name Rägelin , which is of Slavic origin, has changed several times in the course of history. Rogelin was still in the founding deed . Around 1490, Rägelin was part of the Ruppin rule, which was essentially imperial, under the rule of the Counts of Lindow-Ruppin . In 1541 the name was changed to Regelin and in 1558 to Raegelin . Various noble families initially ruled the place. From 1540 Rägelin was administered by the Amt Zechin , from 1668 to 1872 by the Amt Altruppin . During the Thirty Years' War , an army of the Swedes crossed the village. The Margrave of Brandenburg provides 1,646 for Rägelin a Lehnschulzenbrief out. The Schulzen right should then be exercised by the Schulzen . In 1713 a royal post office was built on the Papenbrock farm. The first teacher in Rägelin was already active in 1769. In 1908 a fire brigade was founded for the place.
On January 1, 1960, Pfalzheim was incorporated into Rägelin. On December 30, 1997, Rägelin merged with Katerbow and Netzeband to form the new municipality of Temnitzquell .
