Rådhuset is an underground station on the Stockholm Metro , which is located below the Stockholm Rådhuset . It is located in the Kungsholmen district . The station is served by the Blå linjen of the Stockholm metro system . It is one of the less frequented stations on the subway network. On normal working days, an average of 7,000 passengers get on here.
The station went into operation on August 31, 1975 when the first section of the Blå linjen between T-Centralen - Hjulsta was opened. The station was built using a mining method with two platform tunnels and cross passages at the ends and in the middle. The platforms are about 27 meters underground. The station is located between the T-Centralen and Fridhemsplan stations . It is around one kilometer to Stockholm Central Station .
