Rémi Geniet (* 1992 in Montpellier ) is a French pianist .

Life

Remi Geniet first studied at the Conservatoire de Montpellier with Mireille Michaud and Susan Campbell . He then studied at the École Normale de Musique de Paris with Rena Shereshevskaya and at the Conservatoire de Paris with Brigitte Engerer . There he obtained his diploma with distinction in June 2010 and his concert exam with distinction in April 2011. The pianist and others got suggestions for his musical development. a. in master classes with François-René Duchâble , Giovanni Bellucci , Abdel Rahman El Bacha , Tatyana Pikayzen Gornostayeva and Wera Gornostajewa , a professor emeritus at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory.

Rémi Geniet joined a. a. in renowned concert halls (including the Salle Cortot in Paris and the Carré d'Art in Nimes ) and as part of the Pianoscopein festivals in Beauvais , Lisztomania in Chateauroux , Les Amis de la Musique in Vaison-la-Romaine and Rendez-vous du piano in Nice . He has already given international concerts in France, Switzerland, Germany, Ukraine and Poland.

At the age of 14 he played Robert Schumann's piano concerto at the Opéra de Montpellier .

As a chamber musician he accompanies u. a. Charlotte-Bridoux Sallust , Honorine Schaeffer , Raphaël Sévère , Ishmael Moragues Margain and Alexander Bendersky .

Awards

Rémi Geniet won the Horowitz International Competition in Kiev in 2010 and the Prix ​​du Piano Interlaken Classics in Bern in 2011 . In the same year he was also a winner of the International Telekom Beethoven Competition Bonn .

In 2013 he won the 2nd prize in the Pure Elisabeth competition in Brussels.
