The Réservoir Bersimis-2 is a reservoir on the Rivière Betsiamites River in the Canadian province of Québec .
The associated Barrage Bersimis-2 dam (at 49 ° 10 ′ 3 ″ N , 69 ° 14 ′ 37 ″ W ) was built between 1956 and 1959. The Bersimis-2 hydropower plant , a run-of-river power plant at 49 ° 10 ′ 31 ″ N , 69 ° 13 ′ 45 ″ W , is operated by Hydro-Québec . It has five turbines with a capacity of 869 MW, the drop height is 115 meters.
The Bersimis-1 power plant complex with the Pipmuacan reservoir is located 20 kilometers upstream of the reservoir . This regulates the flow of water into the reservoir.
