The Río Aconcagua is a river in central Chile in the Región de Valparaíso .

The Río Aconcagua is created by the confluence of the Río Juncal and Río Blanco . After 15 km the Río Colorado flows into the river as an inlet and a few kilometers later the Río Putaendo . In the further course, the Río Aconcagua feed a few smaller tributaries, such as the Río Limache .

The river flows into the Pacific Ocean near the town of Concón .

The valley of the Río Aconcagua is a very important agricultural area with fruit and wine growing . It is a popular tourist destination.
