The Río Bedón is an approximately 23 km long coastal river in the northern Spanish autonomous region of Asturias .

The Río Bedón rises - depending on the amount of rain or meltwater available, at a height of approx. 150 meters above sea level. d. M. - a few hundred meters south of the Parroquia Meré . It flows constantly in a northerly or northeastern direction and flows into the Bay of Biscay at Playa de San Antolín .

Attractions

The upper course of the river in particular is scenic and popular with anglers ; the residents of the communities and villages on its banks offer holiday apartments ( casas rurales ) for rent. Here is also the Parroquia Meré , where several traditional granaries ( hórreos ) have been preserved. The late Romanesque church of San Antolín de Bedón is located at its mouth .
