The Río Colorado is a 1114 km long river in southern Argentina .

River course

Its sources are on the eastern slopes of the Andes at the height of the Chilean volcano Tinguiririca (about 34 ° 48 'S). After leaving the Andes, the Río Colorado mainly flows in an east-southeast direction and, apart from the Río Salado del Oeste, no longer receives any noteworthy tributaries. Through the channels of its river delta between 39 ° 30 'and 39 ° 50' south latitude, it flows south of Bahía Blanca into the Atlantic . The last 320 km to the mouth are navigable.
