Attractions

The mountain and hilly landscapes along the river and the town of Béjar, which has around 13,000 inhabitants, with its huge Plaza Mayor , at the end of which are the Dukes' church and castle, are worth seeing . The mighty castle of Montemayor del Río is also impressive; the place itself has been classified as a conjunto histórico-artístico .
