The Río Iregua is about 62 km long southern tributary of the Ebro in the province of La Rioja in northern Spain .

The headwaters of the Río Iregua are located in the south of the Parque Natural Sierra de Cebollera at an altitude of around 1900 m on the Hoyos de Iregua . The river crosses the La Rioja region in a north-easterly direction and finally flows into the Ebro a few kilometers east of the town of Logroño . With around 60%, it has a substantial share in the drinking water supply in the La Rioja region. The entire catchment area (cuenca) covers approx. 663 km².

Wine
Smaller riverside areas near Nalda , Albelda de Iregua , Alberite and Villamediana de Iregua belong to the wine-growing region of the Rioja Alta . The Río Iregua forms the border to the east bordering wine region of the Rioja Baja .

Apart from a few streams (arroyos or barrancos) , the Río Iregua has no tributaries.
Attractions
The most important sight on the Río Iregua is the medieval arch bridge near Viguera, which is often incorrectly referred to as the " Roman bridge ".
