The Río Nazareno , also known as Río Poscaya or Río San Pedro , is a 40 km long river in the northwestern Argentine department of Iruya in the province of Salta . Its source is located about 10 km north of the village of Nazareno and 2 km north of the village of Poscaya . It flows into the Río Iruya at Las Higueras .

Tributaries of the Nazareno are Río Vizcarra (also called Río Bacoya), Arroyo San Pedro , Río Mesada Chica , Río Mesada Grande , Tacupampa, Estanque, Aguanita, Zapallar and Arpero.
