Rômulo Souza Orestes Caldeira , called Rômulo (born May 22, 1987 in Pelotas , Brazil ) is a Brazilian football player who acts in midfield .
Career
No details are known about Rômulo's youth, the first known club station for him was SER Caxias do Sul in 2007. After other different clubs in Brazil (including EC Juventude ), he played from 2009 for EC Santo André , for which he was in Could score 22 games. After a year, however, he moved to Cruzeiro Belo Horizonte , for whom he also scored a goal in 16 games before the club transferred him on loan to Athletico Paranaense . After only five appearances at Paranaense, Rômulo moved to Italy for Fiorentina in 2011 . After 30 appearances with two goals from 2011 to 2013 in Serie A , he was awarded to Hellas Verona for the 2013/14 season . At the end of the loan period he was permanently signed by Hellas, but on August 2, 2014 he was loaned to Juventus Turin for one season with a purchase option of six million euros. However, Juve did not pull the option and Rômulo returned to Hellas.
For the 2018/19 season, Rômulu moved to CFC Genoa . In January 2019, Genoa loaned Rômulu to Lazio Rome until the end of the season . After Rômulo started the 2019/20 season with Genoa, his loan to league rivals Brescia Calcio became known on September 2, 2019 .
