Röhrabrunn is a cadastral district of the municipality Gnadendorf in the political district of Mistelbach .

The area of ​​the cadastral municipality covers 10.67 km², of which half (5.5 km²) is forest. In terms of area, Röhrabrunn is the largest cadastral community in the larger community of Gnadendorf . There is only a connection to the public road network at the eastern end of the village, as there is no connection to a state road at the western end of the village.

The place is located on the northern slope of the last foothills of the Ernstbrunn forest and lies in the hilly country of the Weinviertel . To the south of Röhrabrunn is the Grünberg with a height of 315 m. The Zayabach flows past the eastern end of the village .

history

There are no records whatsoever about the foundation and origin of the place. In 1590 the gentlemen Klement, Loschdorf, Seefeld and Hackenberg found wealthy here. Wolf Christoph von Enzersdorff in Klement was the largest landowner with 23 houses. The other three lords only owned six houses. Before 1783 Röhrabrunn belonged to the parish Stronsdorf , since then to Eichenbrunn . In 1828 the chapel in the middle of the village was built. In the 1970s, the stream that flowed through the town and flows into the Zayabach was piped.

Culture and sights

The Greinkapelle, which is a popular excursion destination, is located in the forest to the southeast of the village. In Röhrabrunn you can still find an inn and a youth home, which is located in the old renovated milk house. The Blauburg Cycle Path leads along the Zaya past the village.
