Rüdiger Hoffmann (* 21st September 1943 in Bytom , province of Upper Silesia ) is a German television journalist and - moderator .

biography

Hoffmann grew up in Bonn and completed school and high school here. He studied economics , sociology and political science at the University of Bonn and the University of Munich . While still a student, he worked as a freelancer at WDR for the regional Cologne television program. In 1967 he co-founded the student-produced television magazine "audimax". He received his doctorate in 1972 in Bonn under Karl Dietrich Bracher .

From 1974 to 1978 he was an editor at the television magazine Monitor . At the same time he had lectureships in media theory from 1974 to 1978 at the Universities of Cologne, Marburg and Bonn. From 1978 to 1987 he worked for ARD-aktuell on the WDR, including in election research and as a presenter in special election programs. From 1982 to 1985 Hoffmann also moderated the daily topics . In 1987 he became an ARD television correspondent in Poland.

In 1989 he moved to Radio Bremen as program director , where he stayed until 1999. He was also the ARD entertainment coordinator from 1995 to 1999. Today he works for his own company as managing director and consultant on media issues in Bremen .

Rüdiger Hoffmann has been chairman of the Club zu Bremen since 2008 .
