Rudiger Linck

Rüdiger Linck (born January 19, 1959 in Essen ) is a German lawyer . He is Vice President of the Federal Labor Court .

Live and act

After studying law at the University of Heidelberg , Linck passed his first state examination and, after completing his legal clerkship, the second state examination. From 1987 he then worked as a research assistant for Gerrick von Hoyningen-Huene at his Heidelberg chair. Under his supervision, Linck was promoted to Dr. Linck in 1989 in Heidelberg with his work on labor law "The social selection in the event of operational dismissal". iur. PhD. In August of the same year he joined the judicial service of the state of Baden-Württemberg as a labor judge, where he was employed at the labor courts in Stuttgart and Pforzheim , among others . From 1991 to 1993 he was seconded to the Federal Labor Court as a research assistant . In December 1993 Linck was seconded to the Saxon State Labor Court. After working at the Leipzig Labor Court , in February 1996 he became the presiding judge at the Saxon State Labor Court.

Linck has been a judge at the Federal Labor Court since July 1, 2001. There he was initially assigned to the 5th Senate, from February 2007 he was a member of the 6th Senate. As of November 2009 he was assigned to the 1st Senate as Deputy Chairman. On May 1, 2014, Linck was appointed chairman of the 10th Senate, which is mainly responsible for the law on remuneration. In November 2017 he was appointed Vice President of the Federal Labor Court. This was accompanied by the change in the management of the 10th Senate to the 5th Senate, of which he had already belonged from 2001 to 2007. From a scientific point of view, Linck has acted as a co-commentator in specialist commentaries, especially on the right to terminate .
